Raditz through Namek sagas are one long story that builds on top of itself and it only gets better if you watched the original Dragonball. ![]() The animation is more or less the same between DB and most of Z, what DB has over Z and specially Super is thematic consistency, something you can see they tried to recapture in the first half of GT, DB is the only part of the story to have a clear start, middle and ending, and a very specific goal, Z and Super function more like Saint Seiya with random arcs happening one after the other with no logical progression to them, Z sorta starts where it should by exploring the origins of Goku and Piccolo but once the Namek arc is over all consistency goes out of the window, suddenly a bunch of androids start showing up at the perfect moment for the main characters to be able to at least tank them thanks to the strenght they gained in the previous arc, then some wizard makes a fat pink thing and attacks Earth, then a space cat wakes up and demands to see a Super Saiyan God JUST as Videl gets pregnant and so there are finally enough saiyans to summon one, then Frieza randomly revives JUST in time to join a random pastiche of a mutliverse tournament, nothing here happens as a consequence of the previous thing, it's just one contrivance after the next.įair enough. ![]()
